Investigation of hemodynamic markers for stenosis development

Different hemodynamic markers for stenosis development are considered, assessed and compared. A recently proposed numerical approach is employed, where modeled based on the local conditions at artery wall, determined using lattice Boltzmann method. range of markers, commonly associated in literature with progression atherosclerosis, were considered. It was observed that oscillatory shear index, which related to wall stress oscillating from its mean direction, did not produce a realistic development. The other produced growth comparable observations literature.
